I Am Woman, Hear Me...

These committees can be considered more like positions held within the organization.  Each may be held by one or more individuals.  These are not structured in the same manner as other AAWA committees, in that they are not required to meet or report.  These committees work in an as needed, overlapping manner.

Monitoring

• The monitoring committee attends events featuring appearances by governmental entities for the sole purpose of measuring the event against a checklist of AAWA issues to insure that these are addressed in the speeches as applicable.  This information is filtered back to the organization to be processed and acted upon by the appropriate committee or entire organization as necessary.

Publicity

• The publicity committee or liaison promotes events through media.  They are responsible for working with each committee to market events sponsored by the individual committee, multiple groups or the entire organization.  This group works with printed media, radio and television as needed, to advertise and keep the organization visible.

Special Events

• This committee works closely with the publicity committee.  It's sole purpose is to schedule and coordinate AAWA special events.  This includes AAWA sponsored events or projects as well as, AAWA endorsed events or projects.
